Is this really a Victory?

The President of India’s decision today that the execution of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana will be stopped until the case at Patiala court is re-heard, is not a victory.  This will result in a long drawn out 5-10 year delay, during which people are likely to forget about Bhai Balwant Singh and other prisoners.

As a Global Kaum (Nation), we have successfully exerted enough international and domestic pressure that the Indian Government, Punjab Government and Judiciary have reversed their decision on the hanging. They have bowed to the collective voice of the Global Sikh Nation. Now let that collective voice call for Freedom for Balwant Singh Rajoana and other Political Prisoners in India, investigation of  the brutal, inhumane human rights abuses and justice for the victims of the pogroms over the last 27 years.
