Patiala,
Punjab (March 31, 2012): As per information available with Sikh Siyasat,

violation of due procedure and fundamental right of “life and liberty” of the
detainee.

between Sikhs protesting against death sentence of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana
and activists of Hindu right wing Shiv Sena turned violent. Police had restored
to immense cane-charge on Sikhs. Four Sikhs, namely Paramjeet Singh, Karanpreet
Singh, Tejbir Singh and Tejdeep Singh received massive injuries. Paramjeet
Singh’s condition was critical on March 28. Police registered a case u/s 307,
353, 144 and some other sections of IPC.

ward of Rajindra hospital on March 28 and they were kept in CIA staff police
station, Patiala. Karanpreet Singh and Tejbir Singh were able to secure bail,
while Tejdeep Singh is still in jail.
